Entropia Universe 19.2.1 Release Notes

Changes

  • Environmental polish to Port Atlantis
  • Mainly terrain and vegetation
  • Moved some terminals
  • Tweaked the No Vehicle zone
  • Umbranoids are now shared creatures
  • Umbranoid creature spawns have been increased
  • Increased damage dealt by fires in Khan’s Arena
  • Increased aggression on hostile creatures in Khan’s Arena
  • Keshaan and Um-Keshaan will now despawn if not killed within 30 minutes of them spawning

Fixes

  • Removed irrelevant objectives from the “Welcome To Atlantis” mission
  • Adjusted position of Revive Terminal in Umbranoid Camp to prevent players getting stuck in nearby building
  • Fixed the issue causing some creatures to behave like NPCs, and some NPCs to behave like creatures

Known Issues

  • Not possible to enter the FFA instance through the Santa’s Little Helper in Port Atlantis, but still accessible from Fort Ithaca, Nymphtown
  • Login Issues in Certain Locations
  • We are aware that some in-game locations are preventing players from logging in. A corrective update is scheduled for an upcoming hotfix shortly.
  • Chromium UI Rendering Problem
  • Some players may encounter a black window when the new Chromium-based UI attempts to render. We are improving overall compatibility in future updates. However, certain systems may continue to experience issues if hardware or drivers do not meet the required specifications. Updating graphics drivers, ensuring DirectX 11 is enabled, and confirming that the GPU is active resolves the issue for most users.
  • Toggling ON/OFF GPU Acceleration in the Graphics options may also resolve compatibility issues

Chromium Embedded Framework

  • Initial rollout of a new Modern User Interface framework
  • Resizable windows

  • Current windows covered: Voting, Immersive NPCs. Additional interfaces will roll out in future patches. 

Smart Avatar Creation

  • Avatar creation now includes a smart AI-assisted system that helps users achieve their desired look more quickly and intuitively, complementing the existing slider-based tools.
  • Image to Character: Generate an avatar based on a user-provided image.
  • Text to Character: Create an avatar from a written description.
  • Voice to Character: Build a character profile using vocal input.

NPC Updates

  • Many previously static or limited-moving NPCs are now Immersive NPCs.
  • Immersive NPCs now understand more about their immediate surroundings, including nearby players, their own apparel, time of day, and other contextual details.
  • Select creatures have been upgraded to function as Immersive NPCs or Mission Brokers.
  • All Immersive NPC internal models have been updated to more reliable and faster systems.
  • Several new NPCs have been added across Calypso.
  • NPCs and Mission Brokers can now spawn dynamically in multiple locations throughout the universe and offer context-specific missions while active in the world.

Voting System

  • Players can now directly shape what comes next. Through developer-run polls, the community can vote on future priorities, which areas to focus on, and key implementation or design choices. Whether it is major roadmap decisions or smaller quality-of-life improvements, your voice helps guide our direction and ensures we build what matters most to you.

Newcomer missions

  • The newcomer missions on Calypso have been revamped from the ground up, with smoother flow, better guidance, and a more rewarding early experience. On top of the improvements, several brand-new missions have been added to give fresh arrivals even more to discover right from the start.

Port Atlantis

  • The city has undergone a major remake to its location, layout, and overall look, with stronger fortifications taking center stage. The goal was to turn it into a true hub, and the result is a cleaner, more readable city that is far easier to navigate and explore.
  • When players depart Setesh, this is their next landing point. From here, they can continue into the surrounding mission chains. 

Camp Icarus

  • The area has been significantly rebuilt in both layout and visuals to better match its identity as a fortified outpost, while still staying closely tied to the newcomer experience

Mayhem

  • A fresh selection of new Buffing Mindforce Chips can be looted from the Merry Mayhem mobs
  • Blueprints (L) for the Caustic, Cryoblight, Frostbite and Neuroshock Chips have been added to the Mayhem Vendor

  • The new Christmas Strongbox item will be announced at the start of Merry Mayhem

Misc.

  • A new mission is available in Port Cabrakan, that leads to an Adjusted version of the SET-P1 Civilian Sidearm

Changes

  • The number of Teleportation Tokes has been lowered from 10 to 6 for station-to-station teleports, and from 15 to 10 for planet-to-planet
  • Most Pills are now auctionable
  • The teleporter at Club Neverdie on Secret Island can now be accessed from other planets, for a teleportation token fee
  • ND-Asteroids now have a Codex Challenge
  • Argonaut Puny’s damage has been reduced

Fixes

  • Fix to stabilize Immersive NPCs / Missionbroker servers
  • Fixed a bug that caused certain items to get 0% efficiency when they shouldn’t have (ex. the Cryoblight chips)
  • Fixed a bug with the Mining Laser Effect’s text (Cracking) that prevented the percentage from showing in the description
  • Fixes to the shader compilation cache system and improved shader compilation speed resulting in a more stable experience when starting the game and faster loading times
  • Immersive NPCs memories will be reset due to big changes in how the memories work

 

ARIS

New features

  • The mining spawners for ores have been completely revamped, covering larger areas and with a more logical layout based on the layout of the land. There is also much more focus on ARIS-specific ores than before
  • With the mining changes, the old mining missions have been replaced with new ones. You can still finish the old ones while you have them active, but you will only receive the new ones from now on 
  • Elara Vox, the new colleague of Orson Cipher in Ironhaven is in need of some assistance with the sound issues they have been experiencing
  • Daniam and Onu, over by the large beach north west of Ironhaven, have been tinkering away at their next invention, but they have hit a snag. They probably need a bit of help as well

Changes

  • The mobs in the Maintenance Tunnels are now shared loot
  • Further flattened the Malcruentor spawn east of the Elevex Station to make it easier to hunt
  • Reduced the general robot resources in the daily bosses loot
  • Added collision to the ARIS planet in space
  • Disallowed mining in the Bovine caves

Fixes

  • The texture for the Hyperion Arm Guards, Perfected should now be working as intended
  • The Oblivion Protocol weapons have been updated with the correct textures

Known Issues

  • The mobs in the new instances are not automatically looted
  • No feedback when the door opens after killing the Cryomusoids in the lab
  • The Altar is currently undergoing a rebuild due to potential exploits and issues around it, and will be made available in a future update


 

Planet Cyrene

Patch Size notice

  • The patch size will be larger than usual on both Steam and the standalone client due to the extensive texture updates included in this release.

 

Account Website

  • On the Inventory page, use the Inventory Changes feature to monitor changes to your inventory while playing.
  • With the Reset button you set a baseline inventory that differences are calculated against.
  • Changes such as added items, removed items, or changed quantities and values are shown.
  • Change in total value of the inventory is shown.
  • There’s an export to CSV button for spreadsheet use of the data.
  • Inventory data and differences are updated and cached from the game servers every minute.
  • Expiring Auctions can now be viewed in the Account web site as well as in the Client Loader
  • Auction data is periodically updated.
  • There’s a link to
  • https://account.entropiauniverse.com/auctions/expiring/json to get the auction data in the tables as “JSON” suitable for programmatic use.
  • The data is updated and cached from the game servers every 30 seconds.
  • A search text box to narrow down the auctions.
  • For (mostly) mobile users there’s a “Back to top” button appearing in the top left corner when the page has scrolled a bit.

  • Fixed landing platform at Cabrakan Port
  • Creatures should now be able to attack objects again. This means that the RDI Labs should be working again
  • It is no longer possible to drag the Commando away from the shuttle on Setesh
  • Fixed a bug where the AI-based hand in missions couldn’t be completed

 

Known Issues

  • Today's Steam patch is still larger than usual; however, this particular issue is being addressed in today's patch, which will result in significantly smaller patches in the future

New Features

  • Standard Undersuit is now obtainable from Harkov in Port Cabrakan when starting “A New Arrival”. This is only available if you haven’t gotten the Undersuit before. If you don’t have the Standard Undersuit and have already completed “A New Arrival” then you can talk to Harkov again to get it.
  • Added loading screens for Setesh
  • A new Account Web has been implemented

 

Changes

  • The Ashi Oil Field PVP area was larger than intended and has been reduced. 
  • Non-PVP zone has been added around Setesh Space Station
  • Savannah Survey mission in Hunraqan on Setesh can now be accepted even by players who have previously completed Prospective Prospector on Thule
  • Sabakuma, Exarosaur and Frescaquda meat now use different visuals
  • Names of enhancers have been updated to start with their tier, making it easier to distinguish between enhancers in interfaces with less space for text
  • Ex: Mining Finder Depth Enhancer 9 is now T9 Mining Finder Depth Enhancer
  • HOF Notification italic fonts have been changed to standard fonts

 

Fixes

  • Fixed a texture issue with rocks around Camp Icarus and Port Atlantis

  • The Hyperion item set bonuses will now work with a mix of different versions. Instead of requiring a full set for activating the buff, a mix of 7 Hyperion pieces of different versions will give the buff of the lowest version equipped. Some examples: 
  • 6 Perfected, 1 Improved -> Improved
  • 1 Perfected, 5 Augmented, 1 Modified - > Modified
  • 2 Perfected, 5 Augmented -> Augmented
  • 7 Modified -> Modified

  • Lowered the amount of Growth Molecules required for that daily mission
  • Added exit teleporter to Voltforge Prime boss room
  • As an extra safeguard against exploits in the future, and as a workaround for the doors and other objects which won’t sync its state correctly, you are not allowed to log in inside a dungeon with a cooldown. If you crash or disconnect before completing it, you will, however, be able to run it from the start again

  • It is now possible to travel between the following planets directly at a cost of 15 Teleporter Tokens. To travel from a Planet to another location, you must use the planets’ main landing teleporter (i.e. Port Atlantis Mall). You can also travel from the following planets to any space station. Other planets will be added in a future patch.

  • Falling damage now deals %-based damage
  • Jumping is a lot quicker
  • Camera Update:
  • There have been several QoL updates to the camera to make it feel smoother. The Max Camera Distance has also been increased.

 

Known Issues

  • Installer: Our installer does not yet support non-ASCII characters inside the filepath, meaning if you try to install Entropia Universe inside a folder in for example, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Thai or other special unicode characters the installation will not start properly.
  • Some languages does not support bold or cursive fonts
  •  normal fonts have been added in their places when the specific language is selected
  • Chat cannot activate bold fonts when an unsupported language is chosen at startup
  • Some texts in some languages might have minor text cutoff 

 

ARIS

New features

  • Daily mining and construction missions given by McGrangus

Changes

  • The Ironhaven Island has been overhauled a bit, with new lower levels of the Weak, Defective, and Faint creatures
  • Droktimus Prime instance difficulty has been lowered to give more players a chance to fight it
  • There is now an outpost with a teleport on the south tip of the Ironhaven island
  • The island to the southwest of the main volcano has been moved to another server area. There is a single intended way to get there, but having it on the same server area as everything else lead to too many exploits, bugs, and otherwise unintended ways to get there.
  • Changed requirements for the AI missions to make them less time-consuming
  • Lower spawn density around the Oblivitron instance entrance
  • The path to the S9 Vault event area was made a bit safer
  • Autoloot is enabled in the Vesuvor and Cinderak instances

 

Fixes

  • Mindforce teleportation is now fully blocked on the whole planet
  • Vehicles are now correctly blocked in the daily robot instances
  • Robots should no longer spawn under the floor in the Droktimus Prime instance
  • The water volume near the Primonaut camp on the center island is now correctly reaching the bottom of the pond
